Mentoring is now available on Launchpad. This is something recently published on The Fridge and in the latest release notes for LP. Here is a link for Mentoring Management as well. What this means is that somebody will help you work on a bug (usually a complicated / time extensive one) and to show you the ropes. This is a great idea that I support and helps us collaborate well as free software developers.

I have a bug open on Launchpad about mentoring. What I hope to do is help bring a person into the world of bugs, bughelper, and clue files. The Mozilla Team is looking to expand and bring in new people who are willing to work hard. You don’t have to be the neither the best coder nor an expert in anything, just willing to work. Since we need people (as the bugsquad needs people all the time) we are willing to help make you a good bug worker. Also, there has been a lot of development on clue files and searching has improved so I hope we can use it to our advantage. Please leave a comment if you are serious about this or mail the Mozilla Team at
the mailing list

I think of all the latest DRM post, I enjoyed Jim Campbell’s most.
