I haven’t written because I really haven’t felt like I had anything relevant to say, follow the jump for a quick story on Ubuntu.

So I was sitting in my room tonight and my buddy comes in and starts talking to me. Turns out his quadmate (a quad is a common living area which some rooms in the house have) is looking for a backup solution on Windows XP as he wants to backup his data before me switches to Kubuntu. Excited, we start talking about the rapid acceptance of Linux within our Fraternity in the last year. From when I started using it, we have jumped to over 25% of us using it. That is very promising to me as it shows that we are A. growing very rapidly as a group, B. reaching the non-tech crowd and C. building a core of Ubuntu users which will need different support from the school.
